To clean a showerhead that is clogged with lime, unscrew the showerhead and scrub with an old toothbrush or nailbrush. Poke a toothpick through the holes to clear them. Then, soak the plastic parts in warm water and white vinegar (two teaspoons vinegar to one cup water) or rub with half a lemon to remove remaining mineral deposits. If you can not remove the shower head from the pipe, tie a bag of vinegar onto the shower head, so it is immersed in the vinegar. Allow to soak until lime is dissolved. Rinse and wipe dry.
