The most inexpensive and effective window cleaner is the same your vehicle uses. I keep a spray bottle of windshield washer fluid in  my trunk and when I want to clean the windows of my home, I use it with an old towel and the windows are streak free, the cloth launders easily, and it is inexpensive – plus it saves another bottle on your home chemical shelf. After all, if it will clean the highway oil off of your car, it will also clean your dust off the windows of your home.
