CHRISTMAS BROWNIE BARS
1 pkg. (family size) Brownie mix
Ingredients for brownie mix
24 bite-size Chocolate covered peppermint patties
1 (6-oz.) jar Maraschino cherries
Shortening for greasing pan
1 cup Confectioners sugar (powdered sugar)
1/4 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1 1/2 Tablespoons Milk
1 teaspoon Vegetable oil
Heat oven to 350°.
Prepare brownie mix as directed. Spread batter in a greased 9×13″ pan and bake 30 to 35 minutes.
While the brownies are baking, unwrap peppermint patties.
When the brownies are baked, immediately place the patties on the top.
Bake 1 minute longer.
Lightly press a cherry in the center of each patty
Make glaze; drizzle over the brownies.
Yield: 24 pieces
