Substitute Broth with Bouillon

To substitute for canned or homeade chicken broth, dissolve 2 chicken bouillon cubes or 2 teaspons instant chicken bouillon in 1 1/2 cups boiling water to yield 1 1/2 cups chicken broth as might be called for in your recipe. Low-sodium versions of bouillon are available to reduce salt in your recipe. Conversion amounts are also listed on the bouillon package or jar. This saves money, and space in your cupboard.
